Okay you are half right and half wrong. Of all things I would remember its that I believe in the first book on either the train or in the capital, that katniss realized that a drink was orange juice, because her father had brought a cup of it home for new years one year. I don’t know if it counts as a holiday but it shows that they at least celebrate it. Love the show and you guys. And by the way what happened to poetry. I wrote a meaningful poem on his hair. Oh and one more thing. Well I got the hunger games book (two years in a row from my grandparents) and it says that katniss’s pin was barely passed by the inspectors for all the trinkets from their home because it might give her an unfair advantage because of the pin. What do you think peetta would of brought following those rules. Tha means no easy bake ovens!!!!

Oh and one more thing, I KNOW foxface would win!!!!!! You got to remember that Clive is dependent on knives. But foxface has far more tactics and stratigies then her and she can run veery fast according to the book!!!!!!!!! APRIL IS STILL WAY BETTER!!! Ps: I still think she should of chosen gale in the beginning of the series no the end at all. pps: I’m working on some fan art for you guy. To be sent in soon!!!!!!!!!
okay i think that katniss and maybe some of the districts celebrate holidays but suzzane collins just didn’t mention it in the book becuase it has notghing to do with the hunger games and living in thye disticts. also this has nothing to do with this episiode but i hav a MIND BLOWING THERORY!!!!!!!!!!! (its not actually mind blowing but it’s interesting) in Catching Fire (i think) haymitch said that the Captial took everything he loved, including his girl. what if haymitch’s girl was maysliee doner, who was his ally in his hunger games (until she died) and who is also madge’s aunt!!!!!!!!!!!
Ps. i think tht would foxface would win. clove is strong but she not the sharpest knife in the drawer..

Oh and I reread catching fire and there is a harvest festival. And two amazing songs!!!!! There is “Alice” by Avril lavigne. I thought of this when katniss was reaped. Then by the same artist, “goodbye”. For when everyone visits katniss before she goes to the capital!!
Omgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomg I just thought of the most awesome fight ever. Do kattniss and gale and girls verses boys for the argument!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh and teampeetagirl, I am so sorry but I am team gale. Oh and I am going to record and send in my version of “the hanging tree”!!!!!!

I know I’m sorry. I voted Gale in the first book, gale in the second, and peeta in the beginning and end of mockingjay.
Y gale in the second? Plus I was never team gale cuz I was aware o the gale/madge relationship and knew gale and Katniss were never going to be together.
Oh and I am sorry but one more thing! I looked up my name (Molly) on wiki and there turned out to be a group named the “Molly maguires” they were coal miners and criminals who lived where distrect 12 is! Did Suzan Collins base the locations and distrects are on history?

I just watched the hunger games trailer (again) and saw that wen prim is picked she was wearing the mockingjay pin!!
Because of religion, I started thinking of education in the districts. Comparing the districts and our current day life, we normally have goals of going to high school, college and becoming extremely successful. Obviously, Katniss was worried mostly about food and providing for her family, enough so she doesn’t have time for education. This seems to be true for the poorer districts (mostly district 12), but do you think that in the more wealthy districts such as 1 and 2, since they seem to be more caught up with the capitol, they have a more advanced education system? Or, it is the case that in the districts, education doesn’t have much value?

Ok, so here’s my theory:
You know how Gale turns all jerkish in mockingjay? Well I think that he always had something for Madge and went sour against the Capitol because he wanted to avenge her death. Also i think that in hunger games Foxface ate the berries because she knew she wouldn’t win, didn’t want to be killed by Cato, AND wanted to show Katniss and Peeta not to eat them because she’d rather they win than Cato.

But why would Gale “tell” Katniss about his feelings for her if he had something for Madge? It’s a good theory though. I don’t think Foxface killed herself on purpose, but I get where you’re coming from. I just thought that she was looking for other food resources and came across Peeta and Katniss. So, she took food, like usually, but didn’t know they were poisonous therefore eating them, just to find herself dying seconds later. It’s an easy death and I wouldn’t have expected her dying in a battle or so, it’s just not her style. So, yeah.
